To show its ongoing commitment to helping underprivileged children, the Chetu Foundation has once again hosted a company-wide book and toy drive during the first few weeks of December to collect holiday gifts and monetary donations for the local South Florida Toys for Tots program servicing both Miami-Dade and Broward counties. This is the third year in a row where Chetu employees were able to participate in the initiative, and all US, UK, and Netherland employees were able to donate. This year, over 61 new toys and books were donated to the local Toys for Tots, with the Foundation contributing $10 for every toy and $5 for every book donated. Along with direct monetary donations that were matching by the company, the Chetu Foundation was able to donate over $820 to Toys for Tots this year to help local children have a happy holiday season.
Founded by the US Marine Corps Reserve in 1947, Toys for Tots remains one of the top children’s charities in the US donating on average 18 million toys and books to needy children during the holiday season. Over 800 Toys for Tots Coordinators, as well as 40,000 Marines, Marine Corps League members, veterans, and volunteers work together each year to ensure that no child goes without a special holiday season.
