On April 26th, 2022, the Chetu Foundation celebrated Autism Awareness Month and announced a $100,000 donation to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation to name a state-of-the-art sensory room and assist children with special needs.

The core mission of the Chetu Foundation is to improve the lives of children. The Chetu Foundation wanted to support Autism Awareness Month with this $100,000 donation to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, an organization that is renowned for its work with patients and families in South Florida.

The expanded Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital will feature a “sensory room” that will combine a range of comfort and stimuli to help kids on the autism spectrum safely engage and interact with their surroundings. The new rehabilitation unit, which houses the sensory room, is the only such pediatric program in Broward and Palm Beach counties, making the sensory room one of the first of its kind in local hospitals. It is the facility’s mission to reduce the fears of being in a hospital both to the patient and the parent and provide the most comfortable environment possible.

Founded with the focus to improve childhood wellbeing and support local communities, the Chetu Foundation continues to help the company’s employees give back and support charitable initiatives and humanitarian relief efforts around the world.
